Thinking globally, acting locally.
In any form of manufacture, sometimes only the right material or combination of materials will do. We understand that a factory’s need for a unique specification, carefully defined metal, component or additive surpasses all other geographic or logistical considerations of what can and cannot be procured. The term ‘expander’, commonly used in the lead-acid battery industry to describe the crucially important 3‑way formulation of surface-active additives (e.g. lignosulfonate + barium sulphate + carbon/graphites) is required for manufacturing positive and negative battery plates and delivering the level of battery performance required.
Typically, Oxford’s consolidation process consists of importing six separate additive orders from six individual European manufacturers to load as one or more containers, within a limited lead time. Long-standing relationships with suppliers in Europe, Asia, the U.S. and South America enable us to achieve the highest standards in service and delivery. Coordinating incoming deliveries from outside the EU adds maximum value to the manufacturing process.
Our team’s knowledge of transit procedure means that borders can be crossed and containers quickly consolidated without import charges within the EU, the EFTA-states and further contracting parties, as the need arises.
