A delivery from Brazil to Sweden,
with no margin for error.

Aerial logging plant

No one import or export is ever the same and some pose different challenges to others. One particular sea freight shipment demanded the smooth delivery of 3640ft Hi-Cube containers of plywood from Brazil to Sweden. This was required within just a five day free-time period upon arrival and maximum receiving limit imposed by the receiving warehouse of five containers per day. Bookings such as these require accuracy at all times, there is no margin for error.

Of plywood from Brazil to Sweden within a tight five day free-time period.

Our shipping team worked around the clock to ensure that all 36 containers were scheduled in for specific carrier deliveries in advance of the vessel’s arrival, whilst coordinating with the consignee’s customs broker and destination warehouse to avoid demurrage charges for non-clearance outside of the free-time period. This is where Oxford Export Services add real value to a business through our carefully nurtured processes, experience and dedication to a job well done.

Business is about making money, but that’s not all. Partnerships bring stability in business, efficiency in transaction, increase our mutual industry understanding and bring some level of peace in doing business. Much like our 20 year relationship with UK company, Oxford Exports, we try to develop partners who value these long and sustainable relations to take the business forward.

Industrias Meteoro and Oxford Export have had a long-standing relationship which goes back as far as 1992. Nothing that we have ever requested of them to support our business is too much or too inconvenient. This dedication to customer service and understanding of our requirements make delivery of the plant’s battery materials a smooth and seamless exercise every time. This cooperation has better enabled us to dedicate resources to developing internal battery manufacture and we see them as a natural extension of our procurement team.
